What we offer
Here at DFJ Multisports we offer After School and Evening sessions and holiday clubs (awaiting launch) for children aged 5-12.
We offer a variety of sports to help children develop a wide range of sporting knowledge and enjoyment in physical activity.
Our company is recognised as a Community Interest Company, meaning it’s not-for-profit. That means all monies are invested back into DFJ Multisports C.I.C. to keep improving the club and ensure your child’s experience with us is the best it possibly can be.
Why we do what we do
At DFJ Multisports we are passionate about providing children with the best possible start in life; building confidence and teamwork through sport.
We believe all children should be given the opportunity to express themselves through sport and we are dedicated to ensuring they are able to do this by providing them with a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere to do so.
Our coaches provide a fun, safe and engaging environment where children can learn sports and life skills through the physical sport activities that we provide.
Our education-based background and training has given us a good insight into both the emotional and physical needs of children and how this can impact on their learning. We believe that children are able to develop a wide variety of skills through sport which can aid all aspects of their life and positively impact upon their learning at school.
DFJ Multisports coaches work with small groups to ensure that children are all given the support they need to enable them to develop their skills and to make progress.
We are committed to supporting children in leading healthy and active lifestyles.
At DFJ Multisports we focus on the ABCs of sport when delivering sessions. Agility, Balance and Co-ordination- linked to the national curriculum for Physical Education. Our sports programming recognises that different sports suit different children and seeks to offer access to a varied range of sports and games. The sports we offer throughout the year include: Cricket, Football, Tennis, Athletics, Netball, Basketball, Rounders and Badminton.
Sessions offer children the opportunity to learn new skills, work as part of a team and most importantly, have fun. We strive to build each individual child's confidence throughout our sessions.
Sessions are structured into two parts:
Coaching in the basic skills and rules of the sport of the day, with opportunities for children to refine their skills.
Putting the skills into practice playing together in small-sided games, whilst receiving technical and tactical guidance and support from the coaches.
In this way we use sport as a foundation for building confidence, teamwork and social skills alongside improving fitness.
Our sessions are a great way for children to learn whilst staying fit, being safe and making new friends!
